Gold Velour "The Cage" Era Command Fabric, 2-Yard Lot

This is an incredible & rare 2-yard lot of the gold velour fabric used to create the Pike & April photo in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds! 

This is actual production-sourced fabric, purchased from the CBS-authorized auctions, after the production of Strange New Worlds ended. 

I purchased a lot that was just titled, "Uniform Fabric," this past July. Three of the rolls were the Eurojersey Starfleet Academy Gray, while the other three were tightly wrapped in opaque plastic. I only realized they were gold velour after the auction ended! 

Several of my colleagues said, "It has to be from a flashback to 'The Cage' era uniforms!" 

I thought they were right, but I didn't want to offer it as such until I was more certain. 

Thankfully, several members of the props & costuming team reached out to me after seeing my videos on social media. It was WONDERFUL to connect with the actual artisans that made Star Trek come to life. Several of them reached out to their own colleagues, & confirmed, "The only time we ever used gold velour in uniforms was for the shoot to make the Pike & April photo."  

This is the best confirmation I could ever hope for, & I'm very grateful to the production team for helping me verify the provenance of this fabric.
